Creating better services for Indigenous People
Every day, in every part of this country, Indigenous people continue to face stereotyping and bias when accessing essential services and navigating colonial systems.
From important healthcare appointments to educational settings, food systems, and environmental decision-making spaces, Indigenous Peoples are often required to navigate systems that were not built with them in mind. These systems continue to create barriers for Indigenous communities, Indigenous foods, cultural practices, languages, and ways of knowing.
Qwustenuxun Consulting exists to help change that, one conversation at a time. Through Indigenous foods education, cultural safety and humility training, keynote speaking, and the creation of educational resources, we help organizations better understand the ongoing impacts of colonialism and the strength of Indigenous knowledge systems. This work asks us to engage in self-reflection, build self-awareness, and rethink the histories taught through our educational and social systems. Our team supports that journey through meaningful dialogue, Indigenous stories and perspectives, and practical tools that help people move forward together in a better way.
