The team at Qwustenuxun consulting strives to create a better world for future generations. By facilitating much needed conversations about the tumultuous history and lasting traumas that were so recently inflicted upon Indigenous Peoples. Together we want to open the door for relationship building and creating broader understanding of the systemic issues that Indigenous Peoples face. By working with teams to explore and discuss topics such as the precontract value of food and its influence on wealth, culture, and language. We can shed light on how deeply connected language and culture are to food systems and land stewardship. We can shed light on how ongoing settler colonialism still impacts food systems. With this new understanding teams can move toward reconciling the relationship they have with Indigenous Peoples, Indigenous foods, and the Indigenous lands they find themselves upon.

The modern world we live in has been built on top of a vast and dynamic Indigenous civilization. While many see bustling streets and tall buildings, Indigenous Elders see river beds filled to make way for roads and old villages that have given way to high rises. We can only move forward in this new world if we include and honor both perspectives.
